Jonny Brown is one of the busiest emerging Jamaican models on the fashion landscape. You may not know his name, but if you follow men’s fashion, you’ve undoubtedly seen his face. Debuting via a catwalk exclusive for Louis Vuitton’s SS’17 show in 2016, Jonny kicked off his career with the right foot. After his debut, the 23-year-old has gone on to walk for and work with an array of the top labels from ACNE Studios and Etro, to Lavin and Ann Demeulemeester, making him a favourite on the runway. As for fashion editorials, he has appeared in the most prominent glossies, from Hunger to L’Uomo Vogue to T Magazine.
Brown was scouted by the Caribbean’s leading model scout, Dewight Peters. Earlier this year he tapped his island roots in Paul Smith’s SS17 campaign. Flexing to Mr Lexx’s “Dem A Pree”, he held back a bit in the campaign video which was inspired by a Notting Hill Carnival after party. However, there is no holding back in his busy schedule, and it will not be long until we “pree” Jonny’s next colossal campaign. Until then, learn more about this fresh face below from the man himself.
